Remi - The Lost Prince

ONCE UPON A TIME .999 There was a glorious King with 3 glorious children.

The Firstborn was tall, responsible and mature. The Last one one line was always first, innocent and very playful. The Middle One was lost, shy and pure and His name was REMI.

REMI had a dream beyond all dreams. He wanted to be found.

For years, he lived in a cave, a cave he called Home.

The King his Father looked everywhere for His little boy, but the boy in silence feared to come out the darkness. The darkness that kept him trapped.

REMI didn't know a King was looking for him.

He didn't know he was a Prince.

One day, REMI couldn't take it anymore. The shadows who once were his friends were now horrible and despiteful. REMI felt betrayed and ran away; away from the dark cave and his infant toys. He ran and ran without direction or destination. Fear, sadness, confusion, and pain were memories that began to vanish with every step he took. Thoughts became silent and a beautiful voice began to sing inside his heart, and with its song invited REMI to go beyond, beyond the high-trees and thick forest. REMI, mesmerized by the world that began to open right in front of him, allowed his eyes to ignore the initial discomfort and get used to the light, the new colorful light, in shapes and forms that seduced the little boy into the unknown. REMI followed. He was very cautious and insecure about every step he took. He couldn't put his full trust in what his eyes saw, as he was more adapt to see without seeing, feeling without touching, loving without knowing.

One step forward could take a day, and he felt he was going nowhere.

One day, a little bird called Tegwen from the Druid forest of the west. She came out of the blue and approached the little boy standing alone in the middle of the woods.

Blue Tegwen asked the boy - "Where are you going sweet boy, so slowly and alone?"

- "I don't know." The boy replied to the bird. "I just know I cannot stay in my cave anymore."

But the beautiful bluebird didn't understand what the boy meant, she had come from a place without caves.

- What do you mean, caves? Do you know where do you come from? -Tegwen said.
For her, the little boy was more than lost, he was blind. He didn't know who he was or where did he come from.

REMI had been walking in circles from the moment he was born, the moment when those who created him left him alone in a room with no windows and very cold.

- "Maybe I can help you realize where you're going and where are you coming from." - Said little TEGWEN. - "I can fly very high and see farther than any human eye."

But the boy shook his head and with a sad look declined the blue bird's offer.

- "Nobody can guide me, for only We know where We are going." The boy said putting his hands in his heart, the place where the song that sang his very own voice came from.

Tegwen looked directly into REMI's blind eyes and saw the noble light of Lost Kings from the ancient world. Nevertheless, at this point, the beautiful bluebird thought the boy was being a little arrogant and over the top.

But she also noticed that although the boy was slow in action, he was very quick in thought. And she could also feel something powerful going on inside his heart. She could hear many colors emanating in torrents of sounds that sang something in a strange language, an unknown vibration that shuns a sound beyond anything she has ever heard before.

- "OK" - Said the little bluebird. - "But I will fly very high anyway because it is my purpose and my reason to exist.

And in my flight, I will search and look for anyone looking for a sad and lonely boy."

- "YES, Please. Do that for me, and I promise I will always look out for you, my friend." - REMI said.

And so, TEGwen flew away, and the little boy took one more step into the woods.

Days passed, nights fell, moons appeared and disappeared and the boy continued his Walk-About. Learning about himself, studying Mother Earth.

For years the story continued with the boy, who was by now a grown man with a long beard and white hair. He continues walking slowly inside his own world. He didn't know what he was looking for, and forgot everything he once knew about the darkness of his cave, the dark forest and his pain. By now, every tree was his friend, every stone knew the man's good steps.

But TEGWEN kept her promise, the beautiful blue bird came back one morning whist the old man soundly slept like the little boy he still was.

- "Wake up old man. Do you remember me?" - TEGWEN asked REMI. - "Of course I do." - REMI said, with a tiny drop of salty water running down his wrinkled cheek. - "TEG my darling and friend, you are my messenger of faith, she who gave me hope and brought life into my eyes."

- "Indeed I am, and this time I got a powerful message for you, more powerful than any massage I ever delivered before. The King, The Great-Wise Old King is dying, and from all the kingdoms all living things are coming to his deathbed to bid him farewell, and to listen to his last wish.

- "So we must hurry REMI. We ought to be there for whom has been there for us, in glory and in throne. The King will read his last wish from the lips of his long lost kid."

REMI looked puzzled. What did she mean with "the king will deliver his last wish from the lips of his long-lost kid"

- "Have they found the kid?" The old man asked.

- "YES. I have" - The bluebird shyly said.

What a glorious day it is then, when a King finds his Prince, and a child found becomes free.

And so, the old man Walked the Walk of Kings, from darkness to Castle, and from the castle to his cave and up again he went, now with the bluebird sitting proudly on his right shoulder as his loyal friend.

And so they arrived at the presence of the king. Only to realize that the old King was already dead.

And so, in such magical moment, from the king's lifeless lips a beautiful song sang. In that moment, the palm of his hand opened slowly like a lotus flower in full bloom revealing a message.

And the message said:

"WELCOME LITTLE ANGEL WELCOME TO YOUR HOME
YOU ARE I OF PURE BLOODLINE.

REMI's old hand reached down to grab the fallen leaf where the message was WRITTEN and as he lifted his head he saw the dead King smiling in his dream, and REMI said:

I AM MY FATHERS LOST SON AND I HAVE FOUND MYSELF.
LET MY BROTHERS RULE IN PEACE FOR MY KINGDOM LIVES AMONG THE TREES.

And SO, the old man left all richness behind, with his friend, beautiful bluebird TEGWEN by his side, never to be seen again, NITHER OF THEM.

Across millennia, people tell the story of one little blue bird that comes out from the dark woods every lunar eclipse and shares the never-ending stories of her old wise friend, he who makes the trees sing, fire dance, and water fly over the sky, making sure the story his friend never ends.

And so it is.
